Editorial policy

Our work should help readers tell a clear explanation from a persuasive claim. We aim for careful wording, visible distinctions and corrections when the record calls for them.

Accuracy and sources

We check factual statements against reliable, relevant material and keep claims within what that material supports. We distinguish description, interpretation and opinion, and avoid presenting personal preference as a settled fact. Where a topic is contested or context-dependent, we make that clear rather than force a neat verdict.

Independence and corrections

Editorial decisions are made for reader value, not to fulfil a commercial request. If a material error is identified, we review it and correct the text with an appropriate note when needed. Readers can send corrections through the Contact page; specific details and supporting sources help us assess them.

Commercial material and illustrations

Paid partnerships and other commercial contributions are identified clearly where they appear; payment does not guarantee favourable editorial treatment. Some illustrations may be AI-generated and are used as visual aids, not as documentary evidence. We do not use an illustration to substantiate a factual claim.
